My issue that some (but not all) tracks bought from the music store will play fine in iTunes but skip on the iPod. I have a very similar problem and have posted before with no luck and also searched the forum, found many similar problems but as yet no solution. Now, if it still won't work (you followed the above instructions with the new user account) and the iPod still won't play the songs, then post back. Post back for instructions on how to fix that. If it plays fine on the iPod when syncing with this user name (after you followed the above instructions), it would indicate a bad iTunes Library File. Restore the iPod in the New User account, sync just the Free song of the Week and see if it plays on the iPod. Play the song in that username to authorize it. Then open iTunes and download the free song) (First, log out of the current user and log in to the new user account. (Start->control panel->user accounts->create a new account)ĭownload the free song of the week in the new user account. (Go to advanced->deauthorize computer in iTunes)Ĭreate a new user in the system. If they don't, try this "test" and solution.ĭeauthorize the computer. Now play a few purchased songs for a few seconds. It will ask for your account information (from the iTunes Music Store). If that doesn't work, in iTunes, go to advanced->deauthorize computer. If not, make sure everything is up to date on your computer. Have you played the songs in iTunes for a few seconds? This will authorize them.
